Cost
As there is no existing TM available, the charge will be on the basis of new translation. The following information will be used to create the cost model in WorldServer:

Workflow Outline
- Preparation
In the preparation phase, the PM will be responsible for the following tasks in WorldServer:
- TM and TD Setup
All updates during the production process will be added into these TM and TD. They will be sent to the client once the project is completed.
- Workgroup Setup
A dedicated workgroup will be assigned to involve all roles in the project.
- Filter Configuration
- The first slide will be excluded from translation.
- Comments written by the PM will not be translated.
- Speaks’ notes in the file will not be translated
- Cost Model Configuration
A cost model including charges for file preparation, TEP, DTP and Coordination will be created in WorldServer. The quote table generated from the cost model will be sent to the client for approval.
- Quality Model
MQM Model will be used as the basis for QA check.
- Workflow Setup
A pseudo translation workflow will be added to the normal TEP work to ensure the quality of translation.
- Client, Project Type and Project Setup
At the final phase of project setup, the PM will create a client, a project type accordingly to support the creation of the project.
- Task Assignment
The source file contains 11 slides in total, with an additional page with task specifications in the very beginning. The project manager will assign the first slides 2-6 to translator A, which focus on the general situation of the company, and slides 7-12 to translator B, which emphasizes specific product development. However, to allow maximum context reference, the project manager will send the whole file and leave notes in the first page of the file.

Once the PM has set up the project and all related elements accordingly, translators will claim the task in WorldServer and start to translate in WorldServer Browser Workbench. WorldServer Browser Workbench has the main CAT tool functionalities including pretranslate, TM/TD match, concordance search, comment area, segment split/merge etc.
- Editing
When translations are done, the reviewer will use WorldServer to perform a segment-by-segment review of the translated content. The reviewer may select a segment and open the error reporting window to choose Error Type and Error Severity. When all segments are marked as either Reviewed or Rejected, the reviewer will mark the task as Completed. If further improvement is necessary, the reviewer may mark the translation as Rejected, in which case the task will be delivered automatically back to translators.
- Proofreading
After translators have made all the changes according to the suggestions given by the reviewer, the project manager can generate the final target files in the Explorer window and send to the proofreader for a final review.

Before returning the file to the client, the project manager will have a DTP engineer to adjust the file format in order to make sure that the translation is properly presented in the ppt file.
- Delivery
When the project manager completes the task in WorldServer, the final ppt file is ready to be delivered to the client.
